Resource Box in your Article Marketing
One of the best ways to drive traffic to your website is thru article marketing. Just in case you aren’t quite familiar with the specifics of article marketing, let me break it down for you.
There are directories of articles online that love new content. They have thousands of people from all over the world submitting articles into their library or database of articles. Visitors and other members can then use this free content in exchange for linking back to the directory giving credit for them as the source. Then the author of each article can add a resource box to their article giving them credit as the author, in exchange for the free use of their article/content. So its a big circle of use and reuse which is all part of the concept and strategy of creating evergreen content.
A great example of an article directory and one that I consider the best of class is called ezinearticles.com They have a tremendous amount of articles and content online. If you can get your article approved by them its like getting on the inside track to submitting your article all over the net. So anyone can go to ezinearticles.com and set up a free account. Then the next step would be to create a worthy article of good evergreen content and submit it for them to review and hopefully accept and put into their ezine directory. If its a worthy article of valuable content then other people visiting the directory seeking content will hopefully grab your article to use in their newsletter, ezine, blog, website, etc.
That would be how your name, article and brand could theoretically be spread around the internet for great exposure on the way to dominating page one of google.
Now could you imagine if you got a free ad for your business posted all over town,
How great would that be?? Well that is what article marketing, ezinearticles.com and other directories can do for you and your business. Now imagine if you invested the time, created this great ad and got it all over town thru your hard work, but forgot to put your phone number or contact info in the ad.
Unfortunately this is what happens when people create a good article and submitt it into a big directory like ezinearticles.com and don’t have a resource box.
So that brings us full circle back to my post title…..
Resource box in your article marketing.
A resource box is one of the biggest key components in implementing article marketing into your marketing plan. Your Resource Box generally comes at the end of your article and its a brief summary about you and your business, along with your website, email address and most importantly a compelling call to action, free report or incredible free offer to have the reader contact you.
So, the evergreen concept here being……. if you can post an article once into a big database of relevant content that content seekers will continually go read, review and hopefully use your article and get credit for this one activity over and over……….this is a great way to market yourself………..just make sure you take the time to use the right website, link and email address so 5 years later people can still find you thru your evergreen resource box.
So please take the time to have a good resource box attached to your article…….because you don’t want to be like the unfortunate soul that invested a ton of time to get their ad or flyer spread all over town,
but dropped the ball and forgot to leave their name and number in the ad so people could contact them now do you ???
