Opt-in Forms

Grow Your List

For those of you that haven’t heard this term this might be one of the most important articles you could ever read. Some people call them opt-in forms, others call them the opt in box, sign up box, etc. etc. Whatever you call them or however you refer to them is not as important as what they can do for you and your business.

We call them opt-in forms and a properly placed opt in form can transform your business. The key reason to have an opt in form is to build your list and attract new clients. The more people that opt-in or subscribe to your website/blog/list the better. Obviously you want to attract serious clients and not just visitors trolling for free information. By properly using an opt-in form you can really capture a good number of visitors. This will help you build your list and allow you to continue to contact and grow the relationship and build rapport with the people who “opt in” to your list. This will hopefully end up becoming profitable for you in a short period of time, depending on what your product or service is and what level of information, content and value you provide throughout the follow up process.

A properly used and placed opt in form is used to collect visitors names, email addresses and other pertinent data. You can use these forms to collect almost any information you like……..but keep in mind the more information you ask for the less likely a visitor will be to complete the form. Another strategy we will discuss on another post will be a 2 step or 3 step opt in form………but for now just get focused on setting up your first opt in form.

Using an opt-in form on your website, blog and social media pages is crucial in todays business world and really is a Key Business Strategy.

The first key to this strategy is to use an opt-in form. Then the second key aspect is the placement of your opt-in form. Studies and statistics have proven that the top right corner of your webpage will consistently get the best results.  I am constantly amazed at how many people are still hiding their forms below the fold of the web page or at some obscure place that is hard to find.

The whole point in having a website is to attract clients and make money…….or atleast that is how we feel.

So unless you just want to have a fancy brocure or one of those “pretty” websites that wins awards but makes no money, make sure you have an opt-in form on the top right corner of EVERY web page……….and I mean every page.

So once again, here is another key strategy that you should implement right away.  If you make it a point to implement an opt in form on every page of your website, you should see results in just a short period of time.

To your success,
