As a child I remember reading the poems and stories of Shel Silverstein. One of my favorite books he wrote was, “Where the Sidewalk Ends.” I was looking for a good quote about being half way thru the year and came across his quote above, so this is just me giving you a brief summary as to why I have chosen to add his quote to our business blog…
More importantly is the fact that we are now half-way thru 2010, and have the opportunity to make the second half of 2010 anything we want it to be. Hopefully everyone had a good start to the year. If you are anything like me, I want to make the second half even better. So taking a piece of Shel’s quote and elaborating on it…
Whatever bridge, road or path got you to this half-way point of 2010, it is now up to you to forge ahead and make the second half of this year whatever you choose. I say we all make the choice to step up, take action and make the second half of 2010 stronger and more productive than the beginning. All of us now have the some potential and opportunity to do whatever we choose with the second half of this year and I hope each of us can find a way to make the last few steps on our own as Shel points out. I think of us realize that no-one is going to do it for us and it is up to our strong will and determination to make the rest of this year whatever we choose. I say choose to make it Extraordinary.
